Dear Delegates
Greetings from SelaQui!

I write to you to invite your school to participate in the ninth edition of the SelaQui International School Model United Nations Conference 2024 (QMUN ‘24). This conference is open to boys and girls in classes 8 to 10. The conference will be held on the 24th and 25th of August 2024. It is my pleasure to host the delegates on our campus this year.
The theme of this year's conference is 'Never Too Young To Lead.' This year's conference will prioritize and encourage delegates to recognize the potential of youth leadership and empowerment in addressing global challenges.
QMUN’24 brings with it the opportunity for debate, discourse, and discussion along with lifelong camaraderie that will bring our school communities closer. The delegates will reach their pinnacle as they deliberate upon and understand global politics and will become pioneers for the upcoming generation of debaters and MUN’ers. QMUN prides itself on being one of the few junior MUNs in the country. Since its inaugural edition in 2015, it has created a new benchmark amongst high school students.
In a world where the power of speech and diplomacy has become a norm, QMUN sets a precedent to nourish these talents through the different sets of committees celebrating crises and uniquely chosen agendas. I look forward to the engaging discussions, extensive research, and appropriate rhetoric that shall lead us to more pragmatic resolutions given the unprecedented crisis that has plagued our communities. This year we shall witness the following committees:
1. United Nations Security Council (Double Delegation)
2. All India Political Party Meet
3. United Nations General Assembly - DISEC
4. United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF)
5. International Press Corps (Double Delegation)
Your school should send a minimum of 7 delegates for active participation across all committees. Schools may also send multiple delegations. I look forward to your school‘s positive response and active participation at this year’s conference.

Dear Delegates
Esteemed delegates, distinguished guests, and honorable members of the international community,
It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of honor that I extend my heartfelt welcome to the eighth edition of the SelaQui International Schools' Model United Nations Conference. This gathering stands as a testament to our commitment to fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation among the bright young minds gathered here today.
Over the years, this conference has evolved into a beacon of excellence, providing a platform for school-level delegates from across the nation to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing our world today. As we embark on this journey towards the Ninth Edition, let us reaffirm our dedication to upholding the values of collaboration, negotiation, and innovation that have been the hallmark of this conference since its inception.
In a world plagued by conflicts and power struggles, the need for a body like the United Nations has never been more apparent. It is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit that nations, once on the brink of war, came together to form an organization dedicated to the pursuit of peace. Today, more than ever, we must heed the call to action and work together to address the challenges facing our world.
As we gather here today, let us remember the hope upon which the United Nations was founded. Let us channel that hope into action as we engage in rigorous diplomacy and debate to find solutions to the pressing issues of our time. The fate of our world rests in our hands, and it is only through collective action that we can hope to build a brighter future for generations to come.
I am confident that over the next two days, we will engage in exemplary debates, intense discussions, and vigorous diplomacy. Let us seize this opportunity to make a difference and create lasting memories that will inspire us to continue our pursuit of a more just and peaceful world.

Thankyou, Wishing all of you a fruitful and productive conference.
